Revised - Yard Work

Revised -

In the middle of the lawn was quite a large pond, built in the late 1940's. Based on the amount of concrete for this pond, concrete must have been cheap in those days!

Anniversary/Shower

Wow - what a weekend in SFO! We flew there for Sara's bridal shower but it was actually an anniversary party combined with a bridal shower. Only my sister, with the help of Shannon, Sandi and my Mom could pull off such a show! Sara's maid of honor, Krista flew in from San Diego to surprise Sara. We had a great day at the Giant's game and then off to dinner. Two stretch limos pulled up in front of the house and took us to the Bank of America building in downtown SFO. Then up to the 52nd Floor - Carnelian Room. What breathtaking views! If you ever wondered what a 100 Karat diamond from Tiffany's would look like, just ask Sara. Over 20 years ago, Tiffany's did a promotion with a 100 k diamond paper weight. The thing must weigh 10 pounds! It topped Sara's cake to be the diamond in the ring-shaped cake. I'm attaching a few photos. I think we have 175 photos, but this will give you a general idea of this incredible weekend. Thanks to all for making us feel so special!

Looking Back

I got in some serious trouble for posting Rick's health stuff - so sorry, no more. I promised to stick to only meaningless information about our lives - so enjoy.

Our family has been challenged in many ways over the past few weeks but here's the lesson - sometimes you are led to the fire, and sometimes you are refined in the fire. It only makes you a better person, so consider it pure joy!

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary last week in St. George. It was so nice to be in the sun. Even though all we did was chores in St. George, and Rick a little golf, it was still very nice to avoid the freezing temperatures.

Looking forward to this weekend to spend in SFO visiting family, attending Sara's bridal shower given by Shirley and Shannon and going to a Giants game. It will be a fast weekend, but a lot of fun. I'll take pictures. Most of it is a surprise, even to me.
