As most of you know, I enjoy being organized and creating systems for better communication. Rick saw this in a house he appraised last week and we got one going. This is right in front of the back door, where we come and go. It's a place to leave your keys, mail, etc. without having "stuff" stack up on the counters.

Week Long Celebration
It feels like we have been celebrating my Birthday all week. Last night, Rick and I went up to the outlets in Park City and I got to shop at the Ann Taylor outlet with Birthday money. How fun. We are also very close to finishing the living room so I'll have pictures up by end of the weekend. It turned out very nice. Rick has been sanding and priming the fireplace mantle and surround.

Pictures of Mackie and Steve
This is Steve at the Pro Bowl, wearing his Joe Montana Jersey and a 49er cheerleader wanting to take a picture with him. How good is life that you would have a wife as beautiful as Shannon AND having 49er cheerleaders asking to take a picture with you!
This picture is Mackie and Stomie in January of this year, before she headed back to college in Boston.
Happy Birthday to Mackie Welch and Steve Casazza
This is the month for Birthdays! Today, Mackie Welch turns 21 and Steve Casazza turns 28! I hope to have pictures later on the blog. I need to figure out how to crop them a little. Happy Birthday to you both!
Today is the date on my birth certificate, but I was really born yesterday. I think it's the result of being born at 1:00 pm in an Army Hospital. If the reporting individual thinks there would be no more births for the day, then you just get recognized as being born the next day. I still think that we should honor our Moms on our birthday. After all, they were the ones who went through the excruciating pain so that we may be here. So, Thank You MOM and sorry for the hard labor and being in the wrong position and stubborn to be born. It's all Eve's fault. It started in the Garden of Eden. How's that for passing blame? :-)
We spent the weekend adding crown moulding to the living room, entry, hallway and bath. So now we need to paint the crown, then touch up the walls and then I'll take some new photos. It looks so -finished. Rick is so talented to get the straight boards on walls that aren't all that straight anymore.
I started my new job yesterday. Orientation with myself went well, mostly filling out all those employment forms.
I just have to mention one more thing. Jeff went to a 15 year mortgage which will make him completely debt free by 45! Way to go JEFF! You'll be glad you made the jump!

Happy Valentines Day to All !
I hope you all had a good day enjoying Valentines. Rick and I choose not to celebrate it since we think its just another retailer and Hallmark day. But I still had a good day. I got a job offer with the new company and will begin officially going back to work on Monday. I also called Amex to tell them I would decline their offer. This offer was too good to pass up. So I will be working from my home office with some travel. They are reshuffling the cities so I should find out next week what cities I will be responsible for. This company does mainteance of jetways at airports, and baggage sortation systems and ground equipment. So its something I'm comfortable with and can hit the ground running. Sara got a promotion today to Coding Manager of the hospital where she works and put on a salary, so she's pretty happy. She was selected for a trial 'work from home' project and she will continue to work from home on Mondays and Wednesdays, at least for now. So all in all - it's been a good day!

Weekend
We spent the weekend in St. George. It was so nice to feel the warm sun beating down on you. We went for a 7 mile bike ride. Rick's gears broke on his bike and he rode both ways in the same gear. What a muscle man! Upon our arrival home, we went to the musical "Riverdance." What a wonderful performance if you get a chance to see it. It makes you want to get up and stomp your feet.
This week will be interesting. I was approached about another job that has a lot of pluses including working from home. I have my third interview with them on Tuesday in Dallas, Tx so we'll see what's in store for me. I'll let you know. Meanwhile, I'm fighting my scale but won't give up! Enjoy your week.
